Are You Taking Yourself Seriously?

When I say “seriously,” I don’t mean rigid, heavy, or joyless. I mean something else entirely.

Taking yourself seriously means:

  • Truly listening to yourself

  • Understanding what you were born to do

  • Knowing your values — and aligning them with how you spend your time, the work you do, and the relationships you nurture

Why This Matters

Most of us live on autopilot. We stay on the treadmill of the system.
But the only way to maximise our short time here is to take ourselves seriously — by giving ourselves permission to be who we really are, not who we think we’re supposed to be.

A Client’s Breakthrough

This week, I worked with a client in the Middle East who said something powerful:

“James, I have to tell you, I’m never as honest as I am in these sessions. It’s the only time I truly articulate what I’m really thinking. And I’m seeing the benefit, because you’re forcing me — in a positive way — to take myself seriously, to give myself permission.”

That’s when transformation starts.
When you give yourself permission to be more you.

Your Invitation

If you were to take yourself more seriously today, what’s the one thing you would change to bring your life into better alignment?

Remember: serious doesn’t mean restrictive.
It means giving yourself permission to be fully you — every single day.

Ready to Step Into Alignment?

When you start taking yourself seriously, you stop living on autopilot and start leading with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

If you’re ready to make that shift — for yourself, your leadership, and your team — let’s create the space to make it happen.
